Artist: Penny Evans
I enjoy this ceramic art piece because it is non- traditional. I can tell that this piece wasn't created for functionality. It's not a bowl or a cup. It's different. I have a love for ceramic art that can be hung from a wall and used as décor. The earthy colors, organic shapes, and allusion of textures draws my eye to this art and enhances the overall design.
If I were to guess how this was created I would say by a mixture of coils and pinch pot techniques. The use of loop tools to carve away and create the form are also present. Some of the applications of glaze do puzzle me and I am unaware of how they came about creating some of the textures in the glaze.
